Custom StyleCop Rule cannot be integrated in Settings.StyleCop

Sep 15, 2010 at 1:54 PM

I had created a sample styleCop project which got compiled without errors, but I can't get Microsoft StyleCop to pick the rule. Is there any other setting to integrate our custom rule in StyleCop?

Did you follow the documentation concerning making an XML file as an embedded resource? Place the compiled class library in the correct directory? Could you be more specific about what you did after compiling to attempt to apply the rule?

Hi Lonnie,

First of all thanks for your reply, i managed to get my custom rule integrated to StyleCop setting. I am having another problem, of integrating custom stylecop rule with CCNET.

There is no command line interface for StyleCop so is there any other way round to integrate StyleCop with CCNET, earlier i got an command line utility from LINK, using this command line utilty i was able to integrate StyleCop with CCNET, but was not able to hook custom rules which i had created.

Any help on the same would be appriciated.

Thanks N Regards,

Jackson C.
