Can or Should Stylecop be used for C++ code?

Stylecop looks like an interesting tool for enforcing code styles on new code. But does it make sense to apply it to C++ code?

Personally, I would think that so many of the rules are not only invalid for C++ but forcing compliance will begin to make C++ code look like C# code. Given the different philosophies involved, I would have thought this would lead to potential errors in the C++ code base that could be quite deadly in terms of code reliability.

Although they may share some history C++ is not C#.

Am I wrong?

We don't have a c++ parser so for now it only works against c# .
