SA1649, SA1638 and WCF RIA Services .shared.cs files

Jun 7, 2012 at 10:13 AM

For WCF RIA Services code that is shared between the server and the client needs to be placed in files that end with .shared.cs. If I put the file name in the file attribute in the file header's copyright tag, SA1649:FileHeaderFileNameDocumentationMustMatchTypeName is raised. If I put the name of the first type in the file in the file attribute in the file header's copyright tag, SA1638: FileHeaderFileNameDocumentationMustMatchFileName is raised. I'll be happy if I can suppress any of these violations (I don't want to disable the rules), but StyleCop does not support file-level suppressions. Any advise?

I've opened a work item for it. Meanwhile use ExcludeFromStyleCop in the csproj file.
