i'm setting up StyleCop 4.7 on R# 7.1 in VS 2012.
It appears to went smoothly with no errors or warnings and in R# I see the StyleCop plugin correctly configured.
I have a .stylecop file configured and placed at the root of my solution directory. Is this the correct place ?
After that, I write some code and I see some StyleCop rules being checked that are not selected in my .stylecop file.
How can I assure my .stylecop file is the one used in R# ?
Thanks in advance!
The way settings are loaded is:
- Default settings are loaded
- Any settings in the .StyleCop file in the installation folder (under the 32-bit Program Files folder) override the default settings
- Any settings in .StyleCop files in the solution's directory structure override any previous settings

Your issue could be that the default settings or the .StyleCop file in the installation folder enable those rules, and your custom .StyleCop file does not disable them.
