  • Oct 5, 2012 - v4.7.41 adding support for R# 7.1.
  • Aug 30, 2012 - 4.7.36 adding support for R# 7.0.1 (7.0.1098.2760)
  • Jan 7, 2012 - v4.7 .3 Alpha (4.7.3.0). Adds support for R# 5.1, R# 6.0 and R# 6.1.1. It'll install the right plugin depending on which version you have.
  • Jan 5, 2012 - v4.7 Alpha (4.7.0.0). Adds support for R# 6.1.1 and a few bug fixes.
  • Sep 18, 2011 - v4.6 RTW (4.6.3.0).
  • Aug 17, 2011 - v4.6 alpha released. Compatible for R#6.
  • Jun 30, 2011 - v4.5 RTW (v4.5.25.0)
  • Mar 20, 2011 - v4.5.0.1 Beta is released.
  • Feb 1, 2011 - ongoing development handed to community, renamed to 'StyleCop' and work on 4.5 begins.
  • Sep 27, 2010 - v4.4.1 alpha released
  • Jul 20, 2010 - v4.4.0 RTW
  • May 6, 2010 - v4.4.0 beta released
  • Jan 11, 2010 - moved to CodePlex site and made open source.
  • Aug 10, 2009 - v4.3.3.0 released. VS2008 and VS2010 supported.
  • Aug 10, 2009 - v4.3.2.1 released adding SuppressMessage. This is the last version to support VS2003 and VS2005
  • Mar 11, 2009 - v4.3.1.3 released
  • Aug 19, 2008 - v4.3.? released. Name is now 'Microsoft StyleCop' and not 'Microsoft Source Analysis'
  • May 23, 2008 - first public release as 'Microsoft Source Analysis for C#'. This is v4.?
  • 2003 - Jason Allor's development on StyleCop begins

Notes

  • dlls were first publicly released as Microsoft.SourceAnalysis.dll
  • They were changed back to Microsoft.StyleCop.dll from v4.3
  • From v4.5 they were changed to StyleCop.dll
