Does not uninstall cleanly

description

I uninstalled StyleCop 4.7.42.0 from Visual Studio 2012.

After uninstallation it left residue. In the Tools menu there were still StyleCop entries.

Running "devenv /setup" fixed it.

This normally occurs if a crashed devenv.exe process was running during an uninstall. Anyone else getting this?

I just got this after uninstalling StyleCop 4.7 from Visual Studio 2012.

VS complained twice (popup) about not being able to load StyleCop during start.
There were StyleCop entries in the Tools menu.

It should be noted that I also had ReSharper 8.0.2, Code Compare 3.1.39, VisualHG 1.1.5 and misc. Red Gate SQL tools installed at the time when I uninstalled StyleCop - all of whom affect VS in some ways.
However uninstalling StyleCop via Control Panel did not report any errors, so it appeared to uninstall cleanly.

Running "devenv /setup" fixed it.

I had this problem today. VS2013 & Win 8.1

devenv /setup sorted it

I'm having this problem to in VS2013 & Win 8.1

devenv /setup fixed it for me to, I needed to run it in an admin command prompt.

I was worried it might reset / uninstall my extensions but t was ok.

I'm also suffering from this problem. Very annoying.

Same issue here. devenv /setup did not work for me.

This issue should be re-opened.
