StyleCop turn off

I am doing some research on stylecop. Our projects code is very messy and we do not to apply the stylecop on the project level. But we do want to have the capability for SE to turn it off on old code that has not be refactored.

1) Does StyleCop provide the capability to turn it off and on project level?
2) Also does styleCop allow user to allow the styleCop to work on certain file?

Thanks for the reply.

The article mentioned that this technique can only works from the msbuild. What happened if I want to have the style cop in the development environment and want to see the error before checking in the codes? Can I do that?

Yep - works just the same from the IDE.
