I have a .stylecop file in the root folder of our TFS project; in here I've disabled a couple of rules so we don't get warnings about missing XML comments. There are no other .stylecop files elsewhere in the hierarchy, either above or below (e.g. at the
On our dev PCs we (correctly) don't list such warnings when we build (or do a "Rescan all"), but when the solution is built by the TFS build server, it
does warn of missing XML comments. The version of StyleCop is the same on the server and the dev PCs, and I can see our .stylecop file present in the \Builds\1...\src\ folder. Again no other stylecop files are present at any point higher or lower in
this folder hierarchy.
I've event logged-in to the TFS server, opened the solution in VS, then done a "Rescan All". Like our dev PCs it doesn't list the missing XML comment errors. It's just the build process that seems to be behaving differently.
Any suggestions as to what might be going on?
